One way to unleash your creative potential is to follow the Seven Da Vincian Principles. While these principles may seem obvious to you, the key is that they be remembered, developed and applied.

Seven Da Vincian Principles

Curiosita - An insatiably curious approach to life and an unrelenting quest for continuous learning.

Dimostrazione - A commitment to test knowledge through experience, persistence, and a willingness to learn from mistakes.

Sensazione - The continual refinement of the senses, especially sight, as a means to enliven experience.

Sfumato (literally "Going Up in Smoke") - A willingness to embrace ambiguity, paradox, and uncertainty.

Arte/Scienza - The development of the balance between science and art, logic and imagination. "Whole-brain" thinking.

Corporalita - The cultivation of grace, ambidexterity, fitness, and poise.

Connessione - A recognition of and appreciation for the interconnectedness of all things and phenomena. Systems thinking.

The 7 DaVincian Principles are drawn from the Random House (1998) release "How to Think Like Leonardo DaVinci: Seven Steps to Genius Every Day" by Michael J. Gelb (www.michaelgelb.com) and are used here with the permission of the author

Tips for Celebrating

"There was no telling what people might find out once they felt free to ask whatever questions they wanted to." Joseph Heller (1923 - 1999), Catch 22
To make the world a better place and make our place in the world better too, we need to ask new questions so we can find new answers. If you had the chance to ask the world a question what would it be? Well, you do have a chance.  Click here to post your question for World Creativity and Innovation Week April 15 - 21.
