Co-founder's Message

Message to worldwide participants, from Marci Segal, co-founder of World Creativity and Innovation Week April 15 - 21.

World Creativity and Innovation Week April 15 - 21 was launched to encourage people to use their creativity to make the world a better place and to make their place in the world better too. Included in that is spreading the word, the passion, the belief that each one has creativity capacity - to generate new ideas, use imagination and make new decisions that make a difference for a vibrant satisfying future.

During World Creativity and Innovation Week April 15 - 21 we inspire people all over the world to think new thoughts, initiate new actions, and joyfully celebrate their unique contributions for improving the status quo while at the same time, doing no harm. People in schools, factories, families, businesses, governments , associations, on the streets and in the boardroom all participate during World Creativity and Innovation Week April 15 - 21 by initiating events, activities and actions that encourage fresh thinking and innovative ideas.

  • Shop keepers have signs in their windows announcing World Creativity and Innovation Week April 15 - 21 sales.
  • Festivals that celebrate our creative approaches to create new solutions are held in every country like the ones already established in Thailand, Peru, Argentina and Canada
  • Conferences for creativity researchers, practitioners, associations and business focus on new idea finding and expanding the awareness of creative potential. The American Creativity Association, Crea in Italy, Florida Creativity Weekend, Atlanta Creativity Exchange are examples of conferences that ignite the spark in March and April to help the creative attitude prevail . • Small groups of people gather too - to have dinners together involving new recipes and conversation about creativity in their lives.

Tips for Celebrating

"There was no telling what people might find out once they felt free to ask whatever questions they wanted to." Joseph Heller (1923 - 1999), Catch 22
To make the world a better place and make our place in the world better too, we need to ask new questions so we can find new answers. If you had the chance to ask the world a question what would it be? Well, you do have a chance.  Click here to post your question for World Creativity and Innovation Week April 15 - 21.
